I'd rather have the clip fed model myself. Likely to be more accurate without the tube hanging off the barrel. There have long been 4 shot magazines available for the Marlin .22 mag. bolt rifles. I have several for my old Marlin 882 and they fit very nearly flush. That rifle is the most accurate .22 mag. I've ever seen. Shoots sub 1" groups at 100 on a calm day with 3 types of ammo.
