Hi Jeff. Was just working in your future home town for a bit! I wear nothing but merino wool long john's(Smart Wool, and Ulfrotte), and just throw them in with my normal wash. Working away from home, laundry is kind of a you get what you get thing; no special care. Both brands seem to take it just fine. No need to buy them larger than required, or baby them. I've tried them all, and the merino beats the synthetic stuff in all category's. Same with socks.
