I don't want to get far off topic, but one bullet that I do wish was still available, is a 10-cent or so same weight affordable practice bullet, Nosler partitions and fancy tipped ELD,SST,Extreme range this or thats, are awesome when actually hunting, and a lot of research and technology has been devoted to them.
but I would love to have something I can goto the range and shoot without breaking the bank for an afternoon of practice with the rifle and bullet weight ammo I want to use on the hunt.
A lot of guys buy into a lot of the high tech stuff, without doing a lot of the basic training-homework of shooting your rifle in a variety of ranges and positions to be proficent- mostly because a box of ammo (or loading components) cost so much.

Unless your deer rifle is a .22 or a .30 cal and you shoot the same weight as surplus FMJ bullets, pulling the trigger adds up fast.
