Working up some loads in a customer's Savage 12, 3-shots run 0.420" at 200 yds with 140 gr SSTs using 40.5 gr H4350 clocked at 2661 fps. 120 gr AMAXs with 43.0 gr H4350 grouped 0.380" @ 100 yds running 2860 fps. I ran a string of 10 shots using H4831sc from 42.1-45.7 gr and they all grouped in 1.120" @ 200 yds with the 140 SSTs, velocities ran 2487-2737 fps. Needless to say I'm impressed with the potential of the model 12 LRP, the gun is heavy and pleasurable to shoot.
