Bought Primos when the came out with it, and quickly became my favorite for cutting. Was very easy to use, made great cutting, clucks, and yelps, along with purrs.

I believe most people use the boat paddle for increased calling distance like for windy days, as it will give great vibration of the box ith the hand holding on the paddle. IMO, I would go for the larger type boat paddle when you go for one of those.

By the way, I have the large quaker boy, it will wake them when others calls won't at times. But I view it more as a "niche" type of call, not a bread and butter type thing.

As always when these type of decisions, others mileage I'm sure will vary.
