I think I probably confused you guys, the Black Magic I referred to is made by Hunter Specialties or Woods Wise, I forget who. I'll check here in a minute to make sure.

Lynch may make a raspy hen call, don't know about that. My Lynch says gobble box on the side of it. They make different models, and I got their biggest two sided when I got mine.
I don't think there are any "junk" Lynch calls made, but haven't used them all.

That is a good price on the Midwest site, and it is two sided SN. you hold it by the square end and wiggle box back and forth to make the gobble. The rubbber band keep the paddle on the sound edge for the biration.

You can also use the wooden boxes in the rain, inside a plastic bag, but you have to keep them dry to work well. You can make tht Lynch sound like a whole flock of turkeys once you learn it. Change tone by screw, work the frontof the sound edge vs. back edge, squeeze side and bottom of box. Just get one and learn how to do it.

DO NOT USE THE GOBBLE CALL WHERE THERE IS A CHANCE YOU WILL MISTAKEN FOR A TURKEY!!!

There are dumb a***s out there who do take sound shots!
