I also "had" a 250 savage. I bought it when I was younger and dumber. Mine was a classic mis-use of an action/cartrige combination. It was a Savage M111 with a synthetic stock and open sights. Built on the long action, it looked like schitt, fed like schitt, shot like schiit, and I got rid of it. At least I got the money I'd paid for it back. If I ever buy another, it will not be in that combination.
