It started with a pair of like new 700 Classics. A Roberts & a 250-3000. Dandy rifles. Not sure why I sold them.

A Ruger 77 Ultralite in 257 Roberts followed. It didn't shoot very well. It went away.

It wasn't mine, but my buddy had a Model 92 in 25-20. It was fun to dick around with. Never could get cast bullets to shoot worth a damn in it, but those FN Hornady 60s did pretty well.

A 60s era custom Mauser 98 in 257 Ackley Imp. was next. It didn't shoot all that well & was uglier than I could stand so it went DTFR.

A late model (2016) 700LR in 25-06. Fit & finish kinda sucks & it's very particular about what it will shoot well. Great speed out of the 26" barrel, but it's not one of big green's best. It's going somewhere for a rebuild & will probably become an 8 twist 280 Ackley.

Just bought another Roberts 700 Classic that was rebarreled to 257 Ackley Imp. Eagerly awaiting its arrival.
