I've killed a ton of deer with my '71 made Marlin 35 Rem using Sierra 200 grain roundnose pro hunters. Nicely accurate bullet for the range of the cartridge. Good luck finding them right now though.

I have some 200 grain round nose Interlocks as a backup plan if/when I run out of the Sierras.

In my '58 made Marlin I'm going strictly cast lead 200 grain flatnose gas checked.

There are options for the 35 Rem but you'd best stick with flatnose or roundnose in your Marlin, and the 200 grain seems to always be the sweet spot.
