Good afternoon to you sir, I hope that the day's been kind to you and you're all well.

As I was one who looked in, meant to comment and neglected to do so, I'll begin with an apology for that neglect and thanks for bringing it up.

It's been a pretty hot topic out here as you might imagine.

If you all can read this, I think you're able to without being a member???

There's a guy who has the same forum handle as I do and seems to sign off in a like manner and he got downright steamed about it....

It is yet another example of the inexcusable and incredibly idiotic hypocrisy the Feds under the leadership of PM Sparkle Socks is capable of.

It'd be a whole lot more humorous if it wasn't happening to us, I'm fairly certain of that.

All the best to you this year regardless of the morass we're navigating as a nation.

Dwayne

Thanks Dwayne. I’m not a member there but I can imagine the guy was very erudite.

On the subject of gov’t waste, I just spent the afternoon for sitting in a parking lot for 3 hours while my SD went to a specialist appointment. It took her over a year to get this appointment, and she was in so much pain that Slavyanka took her to a private clinic in Romania for treatment in August. She was advised to keep this appointment just as a follow up to the August surgery and to get her name in the queue if any further problems develop. Had she waited until this appointment, she would have waited at least 18 months more to be scheduled for surgery.

She was also told flat out that this doctor and hospital are not taking any more referrals at all as they are backed up for years. In the end, she wasn’t even seen by the specialist but by two of his assistants. No explanation for why her appointment was delayed for 3 hours.

Friends just got back from Mexico where they booked an appointment for their youngest son with an ear, nose, throat specialist. He had an appointment here (after another year wait) which was cancelled at the last minute and not rescheduled. While on vacation, they simply booked an appointment and got everything they need if they decide to take him back there for adenoid surgery (about $3000).

Of course, this is our wonderful “free” health care that Sparklesocks loves to drone on about. Of course, we can’t have two-tier health care as that would be discriminatory. What is really happening is that the wealthy simply do what we did - go out of country (we’re hardly wealthy, but you do what you have to do, right?)
