My BL-22 was one of my two main daily carry farm guns from about 1981 through '99, and it has had mountains of ammo run through it and with too tender of care.
It wore a Weaver 300 for most of that time, although currently has a Leupold 4X. It's always been very accurate with anything I've fed it, and has functioned flawlessly with only sporadic cleaning. It has sent untold thousands of gophers to that great alfalfa field in the sky, and only took a back seat for the longer shots when I discovered the wonders of exploding rodents into a pink mist of gore with higher-velocity 22's.
And now we've gone to the other extreme with our most recent rifle purchase, a 1895SS 45/70. Those levers are fun....
