Scott, I bought an 80s vintage in 7X57 last year. i was disappointed that it didn't shoot tiny groups and was looking into ways to accurize it. Then I noticed that the first shot always went exactly where it was supposed to go....without exception.

So I reconsidered. This is meant to be a hunting rifle only and whether it shoots itty bitty groups is pretty unimportant. The first shot is what counts. So, I hunted with it a lot last season. Every chance I got, I checked the zero during the season. It continued hitting 2" high at 100 yds on the one shot I fired.

Now don't get me wrong, this RSI is not an inaccurate rifle. It will normally shoot a 1.5-2.5" group. Its just that my ego was demanding a sub-MOA rifle until my practical side took over. It WILL shot a sub-MOA group if the series of one shot checks are added up....and that is all that's important for hunting.

So I will not accurize this rifle, just hunt with it!
