Light fast bullets make such a mess of a deer with a 300 of any kind...I shoot the 200 gr. Noslers and Woodleighs. Sometimes I shoot the 220 gr. Hornady or Nosler at 2700 FPS in my 300 H&H..
I shoot these heavier bullets on deer, elk and in Africa..I shoot 180 Noslers protected points in my 30-06..
I have recently been shooting the 200 gr. Nosler Accubond in my 06 and 300 H&H just to see how they work, and so far so good..I shot that bullet in my 300 H&H last trip to Africa on plainsgame and it really performed well.
