Peter and Gordon was the first group I saw at the Ft. Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium, that would have been 1964 or 65.
Can�t remember the next one, probably Led Zepplin in 1969. I thought they were kind of boring. After 1970, due to certain environmental conditions, concerts got a lot better while simultaneously my memories of them became a lot more hazy.
The Allman Brothers played at one of our high school dances, that was before they hit the big time.

Circa 1964, same as you, Gene Pitney in one of the Summer Happenings in Sioux Falls, SD. He baled about half way due to laryngitis. Also saw the Beach Boys that same summer IIRC (
). Loved those years.
