Here are the two that I have recovered from deer I shot.

This was a 180 grain Fusion .308 Win taken from a 245 Whitetail shot at a lasered 301 yards. Deer was quartering hard to me and I shot it on the point of the shoulder. Bullet was between the left rear ribcage and hide.

This one is from a recent buck shot at approx 275 yards with a .300 WSM on a quartering away buck of about 165-170lbs. It is a 180 grain Hornady SST.

I havn't recovered any bullets on broadside shots as most have been pass throughs, and up to this date all have been shorter than the 301 yard shot above. But I don't dig around for bullets in deer. These two just happened to be easy to find.

I did help skin a red deer stag approx 500-525 lbs, that was shot with a 7mm rem mag and 150 grain winchester power points at a touch over 300 yards this year. Found the two bullets under the offside hide and they both looked a lot like the fusion bullet above.
