The longest shot I made with my .30-30 on a deer was 314 yards. I killed several others {5} between 200 and 250 over the years. All with a 1949 vintage Winchester 94 with Williams receiver sight and the small size Lyman flat faced Ivory bead. Load was 150 gr. Rem core-lokt in front of a max charge of IMR 3031.
