Unfortunately I would have to agree with Marty on the Remington feeding issues, fortunately I haven't had the need for a follow up shot.
I am a Remington slut so I would still choose a Remington though over anything else and deal with the feeding by messing with it till I got it right which btw took me about 3 yrs to get it....he he he.
Anyway, do a 1-12" twist bbl around 22-23" really all you need and I also have a Douglas #4 too, my rifle has a TI stock and is fairly light and a dream to carry.
