Find a range where she can rent a variety of guns. Almost all of them will have some .38 or .357 revolvers to try. If there are any training classses geared toward women, those would be good as well.
That said, my MIL took a liking to a 9mm 3rd gen S&W, and shot it well. Let her try some autos as well.
