I've heard plenty of African PH's say they don't have any time for Weatherby's. It's generally always the cartridges though and not the guns. And that's generally because a lot of guys run the wrong bullets. You need a pretty stout 180 to hold together for a 50 yard shoulder shot with a .300 Bee. A 200 is a much better choice. ...........Oh good! I was really worried there! Not the fault of the round, the Wby rifles, but instead the bullet selection. Too light a bullet moving too fast upon impact because it is fired from a much shorter range can cause some "holding together" problems.
