Bobnob- my old 270 loads were 52/IMR4350 for 2850 IIRC w/150PTs, not fast but stem to stern on a Mulie at near 300 yds, needed about 1-2" more to exit the hind end....
Better powders no doubt for the 150s. I think if you combined cheap/free range brass w/an AMAX considering their pricing, it would be another option for LR guys. Now if the industry would spin factory tubes like 7s....
