Automatic, mechanical censoring can sure mess things things up. Why, right here on the 'fire, we can't use the Latin word for
with (as in " � graduated
Magna cum laude from � ") or the common name for the several species of willow (
Salix) that are known for their kitten-like catkins. Yet of course we can freely insult, slur, and calumniate each other with impunity.
