If you have a good true friend, the last thing you want is to see them screwed over and made a fool of. If your wife was screwing around behind your back would you want your best buddy to keep it quiet from you or would you want him to tell you? If you found out a year later on your own and then hear your buddy knew about it for a year would you thank him for not telling you or would you be pissed that you had hundreds of conversations and he did not bring it up once?
