The three 8x57's are an 1888 Gewehr (also known as the "commission" rifle), complete with bayonet, an unaltered K98 made at the Erfurt factory in 1913, and a pre-WWII German custom rifle on a 98 action, with the typical butterknife bolt handle, double-set triggers, light engraving, and a very slim stock with side-panels and Schnabel forend. So they're all kinda different.


Thanks. Do I smell an article coming on? Seems like the 8x57 could now easily be a do-it-all round with the newer lightweight bullets available. Seems like there is little new under the sun.
