I would chamber it to 300 Win Mag and load down to 30-06 ballistic if that is what you are looking for. You want lose as much vel going from 24 to the 22 inch barrel in 300 WM as most wouldn't think.
Exactly....which is why I suggested the .300WM above.. It would make perfect sense with that setup he has, along with that donor -06 barrel.
