Why would I have a .308, when I can buy .30-06's, then load them to .300 Savage velocities?
Even so, the rifle with which I've waylaid the most critters was a .308 that Ready loaned me for a cull hunt. 150 TSX's at 2,800 + change make a lot of sense, especially for someone like me who'll likely never press the trigger at any animal > 250 yards away.
But, "Love"? That's a strong word.
