Could be under promising and over delivering.

The last time I sent a scope to them a few years ago I got the scope back in a couple of weeks (free of charge, of course), then a few days after that I received a postcard from Leupold saying that they had received the scope, it would be evaluated by a technician and that I would be contacted with an estimate of repair costs.

Now that is probably more of a condemnation of the post office's ability to deliver post cards on time but I thought it was kind of funny.
