True. Stock is not a strong point. But I knew that going in. If I were 'ambitious' like Utah708 or Jim_in_Idaho, I'd already be working on trimming the stock down to a reasonable size. Ain't got that ambitious yet. Keeping my eyes open for a used synthetic at some point.
Have about 2,000 reps on the bolt. It is fairly smooth now. Still takes more effort than my M70 or M700's. But it's a different feel. For lack of a better description more "solid" feel when closing the bolt ? This is my first Mauser action. So, still learning.
Trigger, 3 position M70 style safety, and different bolt knob are next up when the funds are available. At this point, no surprises, no regrets.
