I thought it might be good to have a thread where you can post your favourite hunting pictures. I'll go first: This is the last moose that I was able to hunt with my 88 year old grandfather. He had hunted the area for 45 years and its an area we still go to this day. That was a very special trip as I video'd him walking around the old cabin site telling stories. There is nothing really special about this deer itself, but the day we got this one was 3 days after my youngest was born. Mama needed a break and whitetail season had just started so I took the other two kids more to get out of the house. My son spotted this deer in a field and knowing that I wasn't likely to get out much that season I closed the deal. It was the first hunt with my daughter along and a great memory. Let's see your pictures and hear your stories! SS

Pronghorn with the flinter. I hunted in this manner for 25 years straight, only got skunked once. Too old now.

My son and I with our handgun antelope. He had been getting frustrated with several blown stalks. When we shot this buck he yelled "you got him!" I think we were both surprised. We'd just shot a cow elk here and he gotten cold so he sat by the fire while I took care of the elk.

Always hard because I'm not a shutter bug - hate cameras. My son's first - youth season. He's not one for emotion at all about anything but he was very happy on this. I include this because I try and take a week off for deer season. A lot of times family is up there etc but I typically get one good night in the shack to myself. This was that night a few years ago. Just always liked it. And then finally - the view of our humble shack from my rack. Not fancy but built by my uncle and father 30+ years ago and has kept us dry and warm since. Initial cost of less than a used 4 wheeler in it.

My little guy and my Dad. I was about my son's age when I first started tagging along with my Dad and uncles. First time duck hunting.
