If you gotta use a double for ducks, I'd find a clean Suhl made 12ga and load up some fancy metal shells for under a grand. I found a beater A390 for cheap that I use for ducks. It cost me ~$750 quite a few years back. I'd just be patient and watch for some deal that really grabs you. I could use her 20, but she'd hang me by my nuts, if I tore it up. I had a Sears Ted Williams, 20 gauge with a poly choke for a long time. Shot a lot of critters with it. I could just use my o/u, but I'm feelin all giddy to get a new gun. I don't want something I'll be afraid of getting dinged up, nor something I don't care about. I'm deadly with my 12 gauge 11-87, so might as well stick with what works for me, but just smaller.
