Monkey dicks!!! LOL! I wished I could find a big ol' gallon jar of pickled eggs!!! Hell! Them with this cheap azz beer I drink would scare a Vegan phart back up their azz!!!
Oh Ron! I've laid off the Hamms! I'm hooked back on the Pearl!!! Cheaper and delicious! there is no: understanding a texican, particularly one who speaks french and recites poetry. likes that cheap azz beer talks funny(remember i married into a texican family going back to the 1840's) still thinks they can withdraw from the union. likes pickled eggs. I had an improper thought the other day, every once in a while we take sardines, which i like, out to feed some feral cats. I got some of that juice on my hands, play devil getting it off. It does smell like something else so the nickname probably is appropriate. If i get to quemato i have to remember to bring up a couple of sixpacks of olympia beer. yes they are making it again. one of my good friends is the granddaughter of the guy who started that company.

Pop and I going fishing, cane poles and a cage of crickets, a box of Ritz, a couple of cans of potted meat and Viennas. I guess I'm officially old, being several years older than Dad was on those outings years ago.
Another post reminded me: cold pork and beans straight from the can. i have been known to this day for all of that stuff, plus onions, dark bread, and hard cheese. it came from my dad too.

Olympia was a good company and a not bad beer until the corporate raiders did them in. Glad to see the name lives on.

Glad to see the name lives on. some of the family have talked about reviving it. epa issues, regulations etc seem to squash it. but they are making some of these old names these days.

Always take a can of monkey dicks in the gear bag for hunting. Makes a good emergency food with all the calories.
Mom was strictly forbidden from bringing Spam into our house. Dad ate so much of it during WWII that he never wanted to taste it again.
Unfortunately, he took a liking to that Godawful goose liver, or braunschwager. My steady diet for several years of lunches at school was Oscar Mayer goose liver on white bread with Miracle Whip. Can't even look at the stuff any more.

I might go through a can or two in the fall during hunting season and perhaps a couple more the rest of the year. Went through a lot more back in my twenties when I used to eat a lot of stuff I wouldn't touch now. Got a can off the shelf here and checked what's in it because I couldn't recall what they're made out of. Here's what it is: SAUSAGE: "MECHANICALLY SEPARATED CHICKEN , WATER, SALT, CORN SYRUP, ... CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF: BEEF, PORK, DEXTROSE, NATURAL FLAVORS, SODIUM NITRITE, GARLIC POWDER. BROTH: CHICKEN BROTH." And I still don't know why it's in an aluminum can .

I think we are a lot like a lot of predators, go for the soft partially rotted junk on an animal, just cause it's easier to rip off and digest.

I like 'em a lot. Usually, I'll eat them out of the can. Pour off the juice, fill the can with BBQ sauce, and go to town. Works great with Ritz Crackers.

I just wish they would make a bigger can. Heck, right now a canful is just a snack that leaves you wanting more.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.
