An honest 5% body fat via a dexa scan or something similar is not a level at which most athletic people function well. Even the guys that get absolutely "peeled" to step on a stage don't feel good at those levels. Problems with fatigue, body temperature regulation, and sex drive are very common. This is part of why you don't have many folks just living life at 4% bodyfat year round. It's just not sustainable for 99% of the population with any sort of quality of life. Check out these guys that got dexa scans and were actually 4-10% BF. I don't see Average Joe making that happen just by cutting carbs. Dexa Scanned Athletes

He appears to be slipping, I know this has been a long thread. I think he's getting tired. I'm shocked that he posted a picture of his boyfriend with his favorite purple toy. I would have thought that he would have keep that one a secret. You know, for his eyes only. I guess I was wrong. He did Eleven Reps! the other day. ... so he's recovering. An "every Three hour" baby food diet will do that for you. Good thing the internet can't post the smell. Ha! GR Too bad 1 person can destroy a thread that many other people that were not even posting in, and were learning from hey GR? I have a question for you (or someone that knows): What exact Keto number should you be at to ensure constant Fat burn without getting excessive with the meter I purchased? It will be here tomorrow. My goal is to get to 5% body fat. Thanks Is 5% even a healthy goal? I wouldn't be too focused on body fat percentages. I would rather gauge my process on fitness level goals than body fat percentages. Measure progress in reps, miles, or any gauge you wish but the mirror should be the last one IMHO. I've heard some of the ripped models speak about the difficulty of reaching that extremely ripped body that is now considered healthy. Many complained that they would have to starve to the point where they could barely even lift light weights to get pumped before a photo shoot. Well knowing my body the only way I will see my abs is to get that low. If you saw the picture Salmonella posted of him in the boat, that is the look I am going for. I'm 6'2 I fluctuate between 193 and 200 lbs under my strict diet I weigh myself every day and eat accordingly. I was so freaking miserable when I was heavy. It was bad. Depressed, unhappy, miserable. Being lean and fit is as much psychological as it is physical. It's self esteem. Women look at me and talk to me always smiling. It feels good. Nothing in my life has been more beneficial to my overall well being than being in shape. I am really impressed with your achievement Salmonella you look AWESOME! What did you weigh at your heaviest? I am 6" tall, I am shooting for 185 - 190, right now I am 210. I know by history that I will not see my abs like you do, unless I am under 190.

When you ruin a great thread, and decent members start calling you a Dick, you may just be a complete Dickhead
😂😂😂 Meh, I don't think Rick's necessarily wrong, or being anymore of a dick, than others. He's not fat, nor has he been ! So, what ever he's doing, is working for him. As it is for Kent & myself, & others that won't come to mind. YMMV ! Meh, I'll stick with a low-carb Intermittent Fasting lifestyle. I do not believe I am necessarily wrong either Paul, your diet isn't helping you, unless you think you look like the picture of health? I don't. Keep eating all the carbs you want Paul. As too your carb comment, you forget I eat a balanced diet, you've seen it. That, cherry picked photograph, was from my 57 birthday, pizza cook, with the new oven. That platter fed 8 adults. Now to your highlighted comment;Tell me exactly why I am not healthy ? Remember; 57 years old, 5'11" & 181lbs. **34" waist - 40" chest. Active daily, working in my garage/shop. Active weekends. Annual physicals via our family doctor. Good BP, no cholesterol or heart issues. Yearly chest x-ray (smoker). Let's see, what else; Married to my wife for 35 years, been together for 41. Raised 2 outstanding children, who at 26 & 28, are also in stable, long term relationships. Our kids & their partners, hang with us lots. Live in our dream house, on 80 acres, backing 480 acres of property owner locked crown land. Hunt at home, Eagle lake public launch, 4 minutes from my driveway (boat & ice fishing). Got big vege gardens, in raised beds, chickens for fresh eggs. 2 great dogs. I love my job, my staff & my customers, because it's our own business. No, I don't think, I'm just healthy, I think I'm happy too !

We have to suffer your bullscheit, per usual & I don't get to voice my opinion ?
You come unglued, everytime you are challenged.
You deflected, didn't answer my questions & my point, sailed over your head !
You've turned into an arseclown, of epic proportions.
But hey, you know what your doing !!
[bleep], 5% body fat, is not even in your realm for professional athletes, nor is it healthy !!
Tell me, why you think you know, that I'm not healthy ??

An honest 5% body fat via a dexa scan or something similar is not a level at which most athletic people function well. Even the guys that get absolutely "peeled" to step on a stage don't feel good at those levels. Problems with fatigue, body temperature regulation, and sex drive are very common. This is part of why you don't have many folks just living life at 4% bodyfat year round. It's just not sustainable for 99% of the population with any sort of quality of life. Check out these guys that got dexa scans and were actually 4-10% BF. I don't see Average Joe making that happen just by cutting carbs. Dexa Scanned AthletesA very polite way of saying a goal of 5% body fat is ignorant.

Wow + P !!
BMI doesn't look great for a 210lb 6 footer !!
You sure you're doing this right ??
BMI of 28.5 is approaching obese !!
Think you said you were 225lb.
Yeppers, BMI 30.5 is obese.
If you had close family, they'd be proud of your progress, to date, no doubt.

Harry, we are good !
RHC, & others too.
My comments were purely pointed at Darren's disrespect for others.
& maybe, the other sock puppet, [bleep] !

Not sure what my BMI is, but I'm 5' 10.5" and 185 pounds. I workout with weights and run on the treadmill twice per week. However, I have a "bit" of a spare tire around my waist that I can't seem to lose. So today I did my first fast. I cheated a bit as I had 1 banana and 1 cup of juice in the AM and the same for mid-day. That is a microscopic fraction of what I normally eat. Feeling pretty good so I think I will do this once per week and see how I fare.
