Update, I’m down 23 pounds since Jan 1. I’ve started tracking calories and nutrients and feel like it really helps plan out meals. Quit eating some calorie-dense snacks in exchange for whole meals. Stay pretty full, or at least, I’m tired of chewing food.

I wanted to jump start the weight loss. Felt like I was starving by 10am and then all I could think about was food. I was dropping .08-1lb a day during those first two weeks. Since then I’m probably closer to 1000-1200 cal per day. I’ve adjust to the IM routine and as long as I’m drinking a bunch of water I don’t feel hungry. Sticking to high protein food with fat and green vegetables. I try and view food as fuel and not something to mindlessly throw in my mouth (easier said than done). I know the next few months will be much harder to lose the pounds a s I start to plateau. I’ve found that weighing in on the scale everyday is vital to stay on track. I’ve heard to not do that but for me it keeps me accountable.

I’ve heard to not do that but for me it keeps me accountable. Makes sense! I’m eating 1700ish on my rest days, 2000 on cardio-only days, and as much as 2500 on days I lift. I’m generally eating at least 200g of protein a day.

I saw that original report. What a joke. Did you watch this video which goes on to explain what a joke the survey was, or did you just post it for the controversial title?

I watched it. But thought someone who just saw a headline would like a more detailed look.

That "survey" was akin to asking people which political party they like more as "proof" that one political party is superior to another.
Observational anecdotal nonsense.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

Been on the program for about six months now. I started at 247 pounds. I’m only 5’5”. Hadn’t been moving or exercising much due to a bad injury. Diet consist of normal things but a lot of stuff out of bags from the grocery store and sometimes even the gas station.. From what I’ve learned, it was very high and sugar and starch which is bad
After watching some of the videos posted here, I completely changed my approach because I wanted to drop some weight and drop it fast. I completely cut out carbohydrate. I guess you would call it a keto deal. I’m only going high, fat and whatever protein comes along with it. Pretty much eat bacon, pork belly, butter, and an occasional ribeye or beef steak that I try to remove most of the meat from and only eat the gristle and fat. I don’t like vegetables anyway so once in a while, I’ll have iceberg lettuce or Steamed cabbage with about a half a stick of butter slathered on
I weigh 94 pounds now and look fantastic. Not sure how to post a picture. I’ve lost a little bit of muscle it seems. I can barely get out of bed to get to the sofa, but I can deal with that because I’m healthy now. I can keep this diet for the rest of my life so I’m not stopping now just when I got it going right direction. Hopefully I can get down to 83 pounds by June when I have to put my swimsuit on.

Don’t rule out the idea of cutting your head off for another quick way to drop 20 more pounds of fat. Just remember, that will also make you shorter, so your BMI WILL be affected. 🤔
