Have a synthetic stock that's an "extra" for a Winchester I'm rehabbing. While I work on the wood stock, I'm going to paint the synthetic just for fun. Bring forth some inspiration!
None of those look like a rattle can pattern. Am I missing something? [EDIT] Not saying they aren't great, but the OP asked for rattle can patterns. Maybe that's not what he really meant? The sponge patterns look great.
Nothing beats GAP camo IMO. Some painters tape and a razor blade and Krylon rattle can camo in black, OD, and tan. Spray the whole thing OD, then cut some camo shapes for the black and tan and go to town.

Dead flat clear works well with camo. I like to clear coat every stock I paint, because the clear really helps to protect the finish from getting all scratched up. YMMV..
