While I work on the wood stock, I'm going to paint the synthetic just for fun. Bring forth some inspiration!

Am I missing something? [EDIT] Not saying they aren't great, but the OP asked for rattle can patterns. Maybe that's not what he really meant? The sponge patterns look great. Some painters tape and a razor blade and Krylon rattle can camo in black, OD, and tan. Spray the whole thing OD, then cut some camo shapes for the black and tan and go to town.

(I use torn up sea sponge for pattern and texture.)

This took about 15 minutes. Sprayed tan, then black web, then a couple coats of satin clear coat. Would prefer a real camo but this is better than the beat up original.

I like to clear coat every stock I paint, because the clear really helps to protect the finish from getting all scratched up. YMMV..
