Pro life, pro 2nd Ammendment, a Washington outsider and she will shatter the "glass ceiling". I am very excited about Sarah Palin as John McCain's VP.

Somehow it seems right that someone come out of nowhere to shatter the so-called glass ceiling, and that it be a conservative, pro-gun, pro-life mother of five to do it. Feminists everywhere are bitterly weeping.

I'm excited. A great strategic move with a lot of Plus's and few Minus's.

AND, 10-to-1 odds, she's a better shot than Cheney. smile

Gonna be tough for a mom with 5 children, and one with DS......look at any administration to see the wear and tear.

Nothing against Palin,...but I don't think she'll make a difference in the voting.

McCain is obviously nominating a woman in order to siphon the disgruntled Hillary voters over to his camp, but she's not the type that will appeal to those.

Basically, she's window dressing,...and will only appeal to those who are already McCain supporters.

McCain broke even with his pick instead of gaining an edge.

Very funny! You'll get no argument there, even from Dick Cheney.

Maybe, but female corporate executives all over the country face the same challenge, so no feminista will dare say it.

We can't sit back and relish this, make sure you vote...

From what I am hearing, the Shania song comes to mind, "She just not a pretty face."

Women vote too, Bristoe. 54% of the voting population are female.

I think it means a bunch when you have guys here on this forum who speak highly of Palin. She has great approval ratings and as the Gov. actually runs a state, not just her mouth like the Senators...

I would pay money to watch her debate Biden... grin.

George Washington had no experience governing when he was elected President. Abraham Lincoln had no experience governing when he was elected President. Teddy Roosevelt had been governor of New York two years when he was picked for VP.

I'm kinda OK with the "experience" thing. It honestly isn't Fauxbama's "lack of experience" that bothers me about him -- it's what he's experienced at, and what he believes.

I voted for Sarah in the primary; I voted for her for governor; and I'm voting for her for VP. And I think "President Palin" has a nice alliterative ring to it... grin grin grin.

Could get real interesting now.

Bristoe:

You're wrong about one of them.

My wife was a Hillary supporter. My wife is a sexist and unapologetic about it. She didn't care what kind of woman Hillary was, or what her faults were. My wife wanted a woman in the White House, and Hillary was, until today, her only hope.

Today, McCain/Palin won her vote. She doesn't know anything about Palin except that she's a governor of a state and therefore has more experience governing than Obama.

My wife knows McCain is old, he could easily stroke out or have a fatal heart attack in office, and, bingo... Woman President.

That's all my wife wants to know.

Obama just lost a Hillary supporter. I believe he's lost a bunch more, too.

Really....Many of those on the sites were Dem leaners saying that this pick has them pulling the lever for McCain.
