Actually, I think things have changed in that regard. Back in my day I got reamed out for two things: failure to identify my target and fire discipline. Apparently, that isn't taught today.
I was fortunate or unfortunate depending on one's outlook to have all instructors from Airborne, Ranger, or Special Forces.
And no I wasn't in any of those units that just happened to be the background of the instructors.
I'm done with this thread but it did help me to put a lot more people on ignore.

Its been discussed, re-discussed and cussed on here. Many, such as myself, have been called racist for even broaching the topic...not on Dem Underground, but right here. The very suggestion that one race is favored over another by the media surely means that the suggester is himself racially biased unless the suggester is suggesting that racial bias is "good" as long as its directed at the right group.
Just yesterday I was looking at a news article in my AO about a guy who was just arraigned for the killing of a woman and her three kids. I wondered to myself what kind of guy could do such a thing. A fairly young woman...maybe thirty at most, with three kids the oldest of which couldn't have been over fifth grade. Raped her and then murdered her and the three kids. What manner of man can do such a thing? The possible answer popped into my head and I had to click on the expanded article to see if said possibility was right. It was. He was a Negro. The woman was white and the children were of mixed race.
I knew her. Know her family. What's the old saying, if you sleep with dogs you'll catch fleas? When you live by the bad boy , you die by the bad boy.

There has been 9 black men shot by other black men in the St. Louis area since the August 9th shooting of Michael Brown. Interesting enough, there has been NO crowds or protests about those 9 shootings....
Now take a look at the number of Chicago black on black shootings... again, where's the outrage??
