They cost more naturally, everything with the name custom does, but at least the X-Mark Pro Trigger is tuned and set properly so you don't have to toss it out and buy an after market replacement. My friend had two made, just for fun, but he has more money than sense. I have the remnants of one that was at one time, about 40 years ago, a 40X BR single shot. Wore the barrel out exterminating ground squirrels, and it's on its third barrel. Replaced the trigger a few years ago with a Jewel trigger.

Strange thing about OTC Remington rifles is that sometimes the cheaper they are, the better they shoot. The 788 had a reputation for great accuracy. Now it's the economy 783, mine chambered for .30-06 Springfield will keep groups around 1 inch for 10 shots at 100 yards. I paid more for new M-700 actions than the whole 783 rifle cost. Go figure.
