I have a 22/45 Ruger slab-sided bull barrel, and it was the fixed-sight model that sold for less than 200 bucks. I spent 30 dollars to buy adjustable sights from Ruger, because having to shoot different brands of 22lr (availability) doesn't work for fixed sights...
I have shot the buckmark at the range (a friend's) and thought it was a great gun.
I really think they are on a "par" with one another.
I agree that you couldn't go wrong with either.
