My limited experience with the M100 is two.

A .243 of my late father's. Had to use small base dies when handloading. Never could get it to shoot better than about 4MOA, handloads, factory, whatever. Turns out it had a bent barrel from the factory. You could see it when you looked down the bore. My dad bought it new and he took good care of his guns. He damn sure didn't bend it. Traded it for a used M100 in .308. (My father liked M100s way more than me. Maybe because he shot left handed.) Yes, I was straight up with the dealer about the barrel on the trade. Honor is worth something.

A friend now owns the .308. It has now has extraction issues. Not sure when it developed them. My dad was a "one shot, one dead deer" kind of guy. For all his love of the M100 it might have been doing that for a while and he didn't care.

If you don't listen to Redneck, at least listen to BSA, and you might have to go to small base dies.
