Two things I find about factory .284 ammo. It's hard to find and very expensive. I loaded for my brother's Model 100's in .243, .284 and .308. They all did their job and shot minute of deer or better. I never got him to shoot half way seriously off a bench. I did make the mistake trying to use the 154 grain Hornady and they are too long to seat properly for the 2.8" max overall length. Gave those projectiles away and got some Speers. I got my .284 at a recent show and am planning to load up some with 130 grain Speers. Good advice from all above and much appreciated. I will try these 130's and let you know the results.
