If the scope is the older "made in Japan" they are a good scope. I used one for silhouette shooting for a number of years, I kept waiting for it to fail tracking or otherwise break but it never did. If there is a downside to them it is that the optics are not up to todays scopes but they are certainly good enough for varminting or punching paper.
I sold it to a friend in the early 90's and he is still using it, but it is now on his Sako Varminter.
