Whats the tried and true remedy?
The tried & true method is a preemptive strike. I always spray insect repellent on my shoes and pant cuffs. When hunting I tuck the pants into my snake boots and generously spray the boots. Never, ever have a problem with them as such. I have forgotten a time or two & paid the price.
