In the Northeast we are cursed with the Lavae of the Lone star tick (the chigger equivalent)...same side effects....itchy, oozing sores. I made the mistake of doing a quick estimate recently without spraying with a permethrin product. I was "Lucky" enough to walk away with only a few bites...Rite Aid first aid medicated spray seemed to help with the itching...
