I believe the 788 was the lower end version of Rems, correct?
Here is live firing of a Weaver Quik Shot scope (Grandfather of the red dot 1972) o a 788 in .308 Caliber last week-end.
I just got this one cleaned up and dialed in at range for a friend of the family. The "dot" is about 11mm big.
