In the Nosler reloading manual #4, you will see loads for the std 280 with IMR 7828 with 160g at 2950 as, "the most accurate load". I shot it for years with the 160g Sierra BTSP, deer flop.
The 280 AI is a dandy, no feeding issues, easy to work up loads for from 120g to 168g that I have tried.
