reading about the new 224 Valkyrie round...

it got me thinking about playing with my Ruger with a PacNor 1 in 7 twist, stainless barrel...

the barrel was originally put on a Ruger in 223 by me...

but someone wanted the Ruger 223 real bad so I sold it, and put back the factory barrel...
which was a high miler...

guy who wanted it was a gunsmith and wanted to set the barrel back and rechamber to a 222...

so I put the barrel on a Stainless 77 SA, and had Kevin Wyatt chamber it in 22.250...

the Valkyrie claims it can keep a 90 grain Sierra Supersonic out to 1300 yds..

makes me wonder about what the 22.250 would do with 80 grain match bullets out to 1300 yds...

its pretty accurate with Hornady 75 grain BTHPs....

and also thought about trying some of the 75 grain ELD-Ms I picked up that a one in 9 twist 223,
throws all over the place at 50 yds...
