I just got a 2.5x from the classifieds here. I am about to mount it on something and give it a whirl. I am thinking a 1941 Pre war R in 300, or a 1941 EG in 300 or a 22HP.
They were made 51-54 I think so the only period correct way to go is an EG from the same few years. The only other 99 gun offered at the time was the R, and they already have scope holes for a standard style scope. That is if you split hairs, like I do.
