I just bought the Victorinox hunter after seeing it on the first page of this thread. Seems to have a lot going for it for general hunting use. I like a good folder on my belt with a Mora ridding backup in the bag.
I have liked Kershaw in the past for EDC. While they have been razor sharp and hold an edge but also somewhat thin and brittle. Had a skyline and another that I can’t remember the name of that I managed to snap the tips on.
Every buck knife I’ve used has been good for a couple deer between sharpening. That after initially using it to pop the sternum open.
