I really, really regret selling a 99R I had with one of those tang safeties. Beautiful rifle but I was not an R fan. What I was, was, stupid, for letting it go.
Your old R is in very good hands and has been hunted quite a bit since you sold it to me. I gifted it to my father. He is left handed and it is a perfect rifle for a lefty with the tang safety. He mounted a steel tube weaver K4 and it is crazy accurate with 150 grain Remington factory ammo.
