But postmil 99E's were made for 25 years (1960 to 1984), so the vast majority will be receivers and parts made in Westfield. I thought some of the internal parts changed from Chicopee Falls, but I've only had one postmil 99E and I didn't do more than remove the stock.


That would be an interesting study, to look at the later 99E against the early ones. I always assumed the lever safety 99E rifles were built as the early ones (and late premil) rifles were.
