I live in open range area. If it wasn't for the fence BLM has up around their property for the road, no one or no-thing would know where my property boundary is with the BLM land. The rancher's cattle he runs on his grazing allotment could come right up to our back door basically. As could the occasional hunter.

No, although we do have a fair amount of livestock free-ranging where they shouldn't. Lazy people leave ranch fences open all of the time around here.
Like 1minute stated, every hunter should know where he is while afield. In this day of $800 rain gear, $2500 rifles and $400 boots, a $200 gps with a current uploaded map will very accurately delineate one's position and the landownership involved.
Ignorance shouldn't be an excuse with the tech available. No tech? No hunt. Or hunt established areas which are clearly delineated.
